I grew up on a small farm in Ireland surrounded by livestock and pets.  After graduating from Trinity College, Dublin, I worked in a mixed practice in County Antrim before moving to the D.C. area.

I established the Animal Clinic in 1982 and lived in La Plata with my wife Jane, who is a Physical Therapist in town.  I have always worked in a family-oriented practice that encourages open communication with clients, to promote pet health.  I am active in scouting and enjoy hiking, skiing and boating.
